Islamic Shia Association of Wellington (ISAW) is a charitable association established since 2012 in Wellington, New Zealand. Beginning with a handful of families, the ISAW has burgeoned and flourished into a society that encompasses a broad membership of Momineen from different nationalities including shias from Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, India and Turkey. The Association seeks to provide a centre to conduct religious, educational, charitable and cultural activities according to the Ithna-asheri Shia faith under fiqh-e-Jafaria (Jafari jurisprudence).
